Who's got TWO days off IN A ROW?

Yeah, that'd be me ... that'd be me & so what did I do with the first? I was wholly unproductive aside from dishes washed & two hours spent mowing the front yard. Got that half done, I'll finish the rest tomorrow.

Otherwise, I listened to the new Tilly & The Wall release 294 times, ate about a thousand Good & Plenty, read a few chapters in the book I've been reading, caught up on diaries & messages & emails, ate sea salt & vinegar extra crunchy kettle chips, said "mmmmmmmm, puckery" while crunching extra much.

I watched my Oonah gut a stuffed bunny, oh the carnage. There are fluffy entrails & severed limbs strewn about the living room as I type... see

...apparently killing stuffed animals is hard work, lazy shit!

I updated my concert list & listened to Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley & Golden Smog & burned Nag Champa & marvelled at its ability to make me think I'm 19 years old again whilst I watched the tendrils of its smoke waft out my open windows & dance around in the wind before disappearing completely.

I passed out on my bed while reading & woke up three hours later feeling guilty but rested with sore limbs from all the mowing.

I took a nap folks, me, a nap.

Would explain why I'm still awake at this hour.

I made myself a dinner of veggie chik'n nuggets, baby lima beans & mac n' cheese & ate it up while watching episodes of Teen Girl Squad.

I said, "mmmmmmm" some more.

I gave myself a manicure & ignored the fact that my shower needs scrubbing & my laundry needs washing & ironing & hanging.

I talked to Rad-Boy for two hours & bitched at him for being so bitchy about everything. I love the guy, but honestly ... shit could be much worse, shit can always be much worse.

I'm proud of him though, he's almost done with the training portion of his truck driving & sticking with it even though at times it sounds as if he'd rather dance barefoot on broken glass.

He's planning on visiting me for my birthday this year.

That will make me intolerably happy.

I've still got a week of paid time to use this year & I'm fighting the urge to take a week just to stay home & sit on my arse.

This Thursday is The Eels & Smoosh in Sacramento. Good fun for us. Getting ready to purchase Tilly & The Wall tickets for July. Haven't seen them live in almost two years, can't effing wait. Will drag Suki & Davey along with me.

Found out that My Morning Jacket & Son Volt & The Brakes are playing a mere 90 miles away in a tiny town called Quincy at the end of June, oooooh boy. My grin it is beaming & I'm making that horrid *squee* noise.

Shaved my legs, it always makes me horny.

What's that about?

:blowing my speakers: Iron & Wine ~ Evening On The Ground (Lilith's Song)
:feeding my head: The Historian ~ Elizabeth Kostova
:rotting my brain: The Coachella Movie
