At the beginning of the debate, during Kerry's first chance to comment on what Georgie was saying, he blurted out "i will hunt down & kill the terrorists wherever they are." That made me sad. Sad because it isn't what I was hoping to hear from him during the debate. "If you elect me I'll go kill more people. & I know it would be good to come up with a peaceful solution & prove that I'm worthy of your vote & not just another power hungry war monger, but that's not how it's going to be & we all know it. So I'll just sit here & bicker with this idiot & prove to you all how much of an idiot I am too, but hey at least I won't be Bush." Yeah, makes me sad indeed. Sad that there's little hope for this country to ever be much more than a narcissitic & horny teenager with the He who dies with the most toys Wins mentality. Sad because with each election I vote in (this will be the fourth) I am a little more embarassed to admit that I am an American. This is not the country my forefathers envisioned. These are not the freedoms they risked life & limb for.
