"see how she moves through the door
how she loses her keys
how she loses her cool watching black birds
scatter through the trees"

It's been a month since my last entry & that's a long damn time for me, but Oi if I'm not a busy little bitch. So busy in fact that I just finished up the written part of the application for yet another job. If I happen to get it, it won't be taken as my third, I will give notice at the beauty supply & keep the night job at the fat girl clothes store. With each passing week it becomes more noticeable that my coworkers at the beauty supply are sort of (read: intensely) lazy & all hopped up on pain pills or xanax or both & I can't tolerate their goofy asses & glazed eyes much longer. I hear, "Oh honey are you the only one working today... again? They need to get you some help in here," at least once a day from my customers. It's ricockulous.

I don't think it was something I noticed until I started working at The Avenue, where there are more than three employees & everyone does their fair share of the work. Not to mention the court clerk job I've applied for starts with full benefits upon hire & at $12.44 per hour. If I don't get it I won't mind much, I do like my job, derpty coworkers aside & have come to love my customers. I just decided that if I didn't at least try for it, then I'd be guilty of not doing my best to better my own life & then there'd be no room to whine about how tired I am or how much my feet hurt.

So ... have you heard that I'm TIRED, & my feet hurt?

Everything else though, is ... well, it's going along. I don't talk much to my parents anymore & it bothers me, but I'm too damn busy to let their mutual midlife crises consume me. Oonah has become a certified MOOSE & I feel guilty as hell about the few hours a day I get to spend with her, but she's turning into such a smart dog & is quite the little trick whore. Saw Emmylou Harris last Sunday & wow does she put on a wonderful show. One of those voices that resonates through your bones & could make you weep even if you don't know the song she's singing. Found out the Old 97's are coming in November & can't wait, can't wait, can't WAIT for that one!

Fall is taking slow hold on my mountain. The grape leaves are golden & burnt orange & mornings are brisk enough for me to need my corduroy blazer. I've got a fucking fever & the only prescription is more blazers. It's bad, I'm in love with blazers. I wanna be in them. I have limited myself to one per paycheck. Mmmmm, blazeriffic.

My twenty minutes is up. Time to throw the ball for Moosey & shower for work.

:blowing my speakers: Ryan Adams & The Cardinals ~ Hard Way To Fall
:feeding my head: Tom Robbins ~ Wild Ducks Flying Backward
:rotting my brain: House ... ahhh love this show
